I recently completed my Ph.D. in economics in the Interdisciplinary Center for Economic Science at George Mason University. I specialize in experimental economics and industrial organization though I have serious research interests in financial economics and applied game theory. Beginning this fall I will be an assistant professor in the economics department at the University of California, Santa Cruz. My personal website has some of my papers on it along with some descriptions of my research activities and ambitions.

My work with CommerceNet relates to the development and laboratory testing of Zocalo, an open source software for implementing prediction markets in the field. I have been doing experimental and theoretical research on prediction markets for four years now with Robin Hanson and David Porter. This work has resulted in three academic papers (one published, one submitted to a journal, and one nearly completed). We are now writing an experimental study with CommerceNet's Chris Hibbert on prediction markets which is really the culmination of our work on this topic over the last few years. We ran this experiment using Zocalo.
